Did you see the 110mph Essex biker on the news?

Dramatic Motorbike Madness/ TWO WHEEL SPEEDER

There have been calls for motorbikes to have their speed capped, to cut deaths. It comes as an Essex rider is banned from the roads - after being chased at high speed by police helicopter. Darren Cullin was caught doing an average speed of a 110mph. When he realised he was being filmed he tried to hide under trees.

You can watch this story again, along with the speeding footage and follow the debate to whether motorbikes be forced to have speed limiters? What do YOU think?

Hi all, just popped in, following Petesa's link on MK bikers.
Good to see more familiar names around here, been a member of BCUK since 2005, live usually in MK, so could not evade to be enlisted by our queen of the pink bikes on MKbikers and found now a new forum to spend the dreadfull nightly hours far from home, my dear friends and my beloved bikes....Have 2 bikes, a 900 Divvie for the daily drag and a toy black Blade... Been terrorising the Tarmac for an odd 25 years...... Touch wood, have only a few minor scratches left from the time I was young, wild and innocent and do invest in proper armoured gear to minimise the risk on mayor damage. Those health insurances don't cover loss of work....
I've visited quite a lot hospitals and several funerals because of friends coming off, and have for some time been involved with disabled people, providing technical solutions to overcome practical problems in daily life. Nowadays technology can supply a lot to make life easier, the biggest problem I've seen is mainly the attitude of 'normal' society towards people with a disability. All the best, hope to meet up some moment with all you folks...

Hello everyone

My name is Richard and I'm a friend of Pete's who was with him when he had his accident.

I've finally got round to signing onto the forum (sorry it's been so long Pete, still, better late than never! Smilewinkgrin)

I'll be writing my account of Pete's accident shortly - there Pete, I've committed myself to write it now!!!!

hello guys just thought i'd return the favour (pete looked at my site)
i've been very lucky had quite alot of off's (5 in 1 year) but appart from damaging the ligaments to my knee walked away pretty much scott free, all my incidents were when i had my 125 (cg so off course i rode it flat out everywhere unfortunatly with drum brakes front and rear could'nt stop that quick) however i did lose my best mate 3 years ago (14th sept 2003) freekly the day before i found out i was pregnant with my little boy and i also nursed my now ex partner (nothing to with the accident) after his accident (bloody women drivers) he ended up with a broken pelvis a broken leg and took out a rather large amount of his leg on the master silender of the bike, its pretty difficult for partners as well how ever it hasn't stop either of us rideing if anything its made me all the more determined, i now ride a kawasaki zx6r and touch wood i haven't been down the road again.

Hello there,

Great site! I read your story and made me way more aware of the danger of the road. I am glad everything went well at the end.

I wanted to share a resource page about Injury recovery:
