since my accident my memory has played games with me.....times can't even remember what someone said 5mins ago !!! tho do get flashbacks which is hell -real torture as their so Vivid. the diagnosis is PTSD( post traumatic Stress Disorder) feel bit alienated on this as don't know anyone who actually suffers from it OR any GP that does understand about it. so anyone suffering feel free to get in touch .guess with gettin older don't help either Smilewould be interestd in hearing your experiences best ~Stone

Shes gettin real arsy here OOH & the queue behind start to get irritated & give me grief !!!! c'mon , c'mon bloody bikers . tattooed greaser i HEAR!!!...yer wot Matey i slowly turns & says to em with the look of lemmy & the p.ss off stance ...erm,erm ....it wasn't me a says this oversized geezer in a armani suite (ay.. ah yea ..your right me means SUIT bro ...tee hee ) . so i reach into me leather( and man did they move when i did that tee hee ) and produce a little credit sized card ( Which i THRUST at em ) that states* I AM A SURVIVOR OF A BRAIN INJURY I MAY HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY MEMORY, SPEECH & ACTIONS .I WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR HELP & PATIENCE....man , tell ya i was treated like a hero after that . .i mean how would they react /like it if they were in our boots ? no one knows when it could happen to them ! thats just ONE example. of which theres gotta be some of you been in that situation time & time again EH....just wish folk could be a little bit patient & not throw one .. anyone like to comment on that Cool

Hi Pete!
What a great idea this site is, I'm sure that people will find it useful to be able to talk with others who have been through the same experience.

Dave is still riding his Kwaker and I've still got my VanVan however being over 6mths pregnant it hasn't seen the light of day for a little while but oh boy do I dream of wearing my leathers!!

When we met you, you really made getting out and about fun! It was great for Dave being an experienced rider to have other like minded folks like you around to chew the cud with...........I've still just about managed to work out where the petrol goes :0)

We're delighted to see that you moving forward with this project and we know it will be a great success.

Best wishes and lots of love

Hey Pete,

Just wanted to drop by and say what an inspirational website!

As you know I'm not a biker myself (although my sister is if that counts!) but I really feel this could become a great resource. Keep up the good work!

Thumper here from BCUK, for some reason it uses my other log-in Rolleyes

The forums a great idea Pete. I had a bad accident in 2002 when I was still new to biking and wish I had some bikers to talk to. Some bikers get up brush themselves off and laugh about it but others are really affected by it.

Without the support of my family and some biker friends I would have given the bikes up.

I am sure you will support a great number of people and congratulations for getting back in the saddle yourself. It takes gutts ;)

Smile New website now uploaded and all seems to be working OK.. Just a few tweaks to be made to the forum layouts and contents and then I think it's all ready to use. Open to any and all suggestions, so please feel very free to post up what you think would be a good idea.

Cheers for now, Smile
